BAWDY
Three generations of Brooks women face their body image issues over a tense Thanksgiving.
Narrative Dance Film Short
Bawdy is more than a film—it’s a starting point for much-needed conversation. By using it as a tool to explore self-worth, generational expectations, and body image in Black communities, we aim to create spaces where people—especially Black girls—feel seen, affirmed, and empowered. We’re proud of what we’ve created, and excited by the potential for impact when paired with OTV’s platform and resources.
Our cast and crew were over 80% women, genderqueer/gender non-conforming, BIPOC and shot entirely on Chicago's south side.
